🌟 Alumni Spotlight: Todd McBain
📍 NHI Redding | Core, ANMT & AAS Degree Graduate

Todd McBain’s journey into massage therapy began with a life-changing injury. After rupturing his quadriceps tendon, he found himself at a crossroads—one that ultimately led him to National Holistic Institute.

What started as a path to recovery quickly became a passion for advanced, clinical bodywork. Through the Core Program, Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy, and the AAS Degree Program, Todd built a strong foundation rooted in both hands-on skill and medical understanding.

Today, Todd is an Advanced Neuromuscular Therapist and Medical Massage Clinician, working in the field while also mentoring students as a Teacher Assistant at NHI.

After serving in the U.S. Navy, Andi Kincaid found herself stepping into a completely new chapter of life. Like many veterans, the transition came with uncertainty—but also the opportunity to build something new.

That foundation started at NHI Santa Rosa. 💚

⭐ 5-Star Graduate Spotlight — NHI Santa Rosa

Mariah, founder of RestorePoint Massage and NHI Santa Rosa graduate, turned her passion for helping others into a thriving practice in Santa Rosa. Today, her clinic is even an externship site for NHI students — a true full-circle moment. 💆‍♀️✨

"The 2021 pandemic allowed me to slow down and really find myself. I found peace, patience, and serenity during that time, and I wanted that feeling to last. I knew I wanted a career that helped people feel that same sense of relief and connection in their bodies. Massage kept coming to mind. Once I put it out into the universe, I started seeing the NHI ads everywhere.

I attended an online open house and immediately fell in love with the program. I was excited, but also intimidated by the anatomy and kinesiology portion. I had taken anatomy before at the JC and struggled with it, so I wasn’t sure if I could do it. That changed when Gabriel (my mentor) started speaking about it. You could feel his passion for teaching, and it made the subject come alive. That moment gave me the confidence to believe I could do this.

That’s when I knew the program was for me.

My mentors at NHI were incredible. David and the instructors created an environment where learning felt supportive and natural. They always reminded us that there was no such thing as a stupid or silly question, which made such a difference while learning something so new.

After graduating, I worked at a clinical massage practice for three years where I was able to continue learning, build my confidence, and develop my skills working with clients dealing with pain and chronic tension.

In August 2025, I opened my own practice, RestorePoint Massage, in Santa Rosa. I specialize in clinical and neuromuscular massage, helping people find relief from pain and reconnect with their bodies.

Looking back, choosing NHI truly changed the direction of my life. The education, mentorship, and support I received gave me the foundation to build a career that I love. Today I even have the opportunity to give back, my practice was recently approved as an externship site for NHI students.

It feels like a full-circle moment, and I’m incredibly grateful for where this journey began."
