Hickory Hill Recovery Center Hickory Hill Recovery Center is a peer-driven, residential recovery facility for men over age 18 seeking recovery from alcohol & other drugs.

Hickory Hill Recovery Center is a
residential, social, recovery center for men
over eighteen years of age who are seeking
recovery from alcohol and other drugs. Our goal at Hickory Hill Recovery
Center for Men (HHRC) is to provide
life-sustaining and life-rebuilding
services to those suffering from
drug and alcohol addiction. Our Fresh Start program integrates a peer-to-
peer, self-help model that provides the
tools for recovery, and restores productive
lives. Another goal is to reduce the isolation
addicted persons feel from the community,
and from one another. The Fresh Start program seeks to improve
the participants support systems and
provide comprehensive services that enable
abstinence and recovery to become a new
way of life. The Hickory Hill Recovery Center for
Men, located in Knott County, consists
of 68 efficiency apartments and two
dormitory style housing units. Referrals may come through the judicial
system, social service systems, health care
systems, and various other entities. Clients
may be homeless, in fear of homelessness,
or unable to return to their families. Hickory Hill Recovery Center is
approximately 12.8 miles from the Hazard
Walmart Supercenter. Take HWY 80 East (KY
80-E) toward Prestonsburg/Hindman. After
12.8 miles, turn LEFT at the Hickory Hill
sign and follow the road until you arrive at

The first Hickory Hill Fatherhood/family day in nearly 3 years has been a success thanks to Pam Brewer, Marada Chaffins, and the LKLP. Its important that we also recognize Renee Anderson of the Appalachian Artisan Center for her crafts display, and Victor Gainer of Big Daddys Bar-b-que for catering. There were toys, inflatables, catered bar-b-que, crafts, music, and family photos for our clients and thier families to enjoy. We cannot say thanks enough. (Pictures of clients and families have been omitted for confidentiality).

Hickory Hill recently completed our third term with Amanda Kelly and SKED'S enrepenurial training. The end result was a small buisness idea and plan that these men should be very proud of. We would like to express our gratitude for Amanda Kelly, SKED and the Be Boss program, and Lori Baier of the Fletcher Group.
