SERIES OF QUESTIONS NUMBER 10 TO V.M. MICHAEL
05.09.2025, YEAR 63 OF AQUARIUS
48. M.G., Bern, 🇨🇭:
V.M. Michael, if possible through this medium, could you give us a practice to do with V.M. Sophia?
V.M.S.:
The practice that can be done with V.M. Sophia consists of:
Asking her to give us discernment to make correct decisions on the path and in life, always according to the will of our Being.
Asking for assistance to visualize in advance the consequences that our actions will have in the future.
That love for Wisdom may develop within us.
49. A.G., Poland 🇵🇱/UK 🇬🇧:
How is the presence of a plant’s elemental maintained if the plant dries out?
V.M.M.:
Your question is very interesting. We can say that as long as the plant retains its aroma—that is, as long as we can perceive the aroma of the plant—the elemental is still active and connected to it.
50. D.T., Caçapava do Sul, RS, 🇧🇷:
What role do oaths play in a school of awakening? I ask because consciousness is spontaneous, free, and in the moment… whereas an oath is a fixed, firm decision maintained over time. How do these two coexist? What sense and possible benefits can oaths have on the path of awakening? What aspects indicate their necessity, and why do we use them? Thank you, V.M. Michael and V.M. Sophia, for your presence and indispensable help.
V.M.M.:
In the Mystery Schools of Antiquity, there were three Chambers of study or three levels: the Exoteric Chamber, the Mesoteric, and the Esoteric. When the disciple reached the study levels of the Mesoteric Chambers, they were required to take an oath, committing before their Inner Being and the Masters not to divulge the Secrets of the Order, so that these Secrets would not be profaned by those who could not understand them. That was the purpose of the oath.
The reason it had to be done is that any person with ego, even if Initiating in Esoteric Studies, does not yet have a Permanent Center of Gravity, and at any moment could betray their School or Masters, thereby profaning the Mysteries and the trust placed in them.
Thus, the oath and vow of silence helped disciples to keep the teachings of Awakening secret, through that formal commitment, making the person think more than once before committing the grave error of revealing these things to people who could not value them and would profane them.
51. I.S., Lyon, 🇫🇷:
When I decided to enter the Third Circle, one of the many influencing factors was that you always said and demonstrated in practice that you “do not change a single comma” of the teachings of the guides, whether the Venerable Master Samael or the Venerable Master Lakhsmi. You have taught us that when everything is uncertain, or when we are going through a desert, we should cling firmly to the doctrine as a lifeline. Now, in the age of Aquarius, which moves very fast, times change, teachings are adjusted, omitted, or methodologies adapted, sometimes contradicting written teachings. On the other hand, we know that adaptation is necessary for the survival of Gnosis, so the spiritual work of the individual takes precedence over doctrine. I also reflect that not all doctrine is written. My question is: How do we distinguish what is doctrine and must remain intact from what should be flexible, so that when light is needed and the Master is not present, we do not deviate from the path? Thank you very much.
V.M.M.:
Doctrine can never change, at any time or in any era. What does change are the strategies or methods for spreading the teaching and for performing the inner work.
For example, doctrine teaches us that to kill the ego, we must first discover it, then understand it, and finally ask the Divine Mother Kundalini to eliminate it. This will never change across time and space.
What can change are the methods or strategies to discover and understand it. Even the techniques may change, but the three basic steps of ego death will never change.
What will never change are the three factors of the Revolution of Consciousness. What may change according to the era is how to apply and live them.
52. A.V., 🇧🇷:
How should aspirants to initiation handle a nocturnal emission? For example, if on a given day it happens, should we ignore it (since it would undervalue my creative energy) or feel bad, because while striving for the awakening of consciousness, I remain asleep in higher worlds? Should I feel guilty for losing energy in a plane where my consciousness is still minimal?
V.M.M.:
Neither. One must try to transform the event, and instead of feeling guilty, convert it into more willpower, understanding, and discipline to overcome the issue.
In such matters, the Venerable White Lodge places great importance on the disciple’s inner disposition to overcome such inconveniences—that is, their willingness to fight until, one day, they overcome.
In the “war,” there are many battles. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but the important thing is the final long-term result. Overcome—that is all.
53. C.B., San José, 🇺🇾:
If the silver cord is cut at three and a half days, what happens when the body is cremated hours later? Thank you.
V.M.M.:
Dear Missionary Sister who asks the question, when this happens, the post-mortem processes accelerate, and the cord is cut earlier.
54. C.R., Montevideo, 🇺🇾:
What happens in the couple during alchemical practices when one wants to refine this aspect and the fire, passion, or sexual desire decreases? Could it be the same aggregates causing this? We have a lot of information on how these practices should be performed, but when we try to follow them exactly, this phenomenon appears, as if sexual impulse decreases. What is happening in the background? I have seen that the ego has energy to do mischief but, for the right things, seems to withdraw it. What is the solution? Thank you, V.M. Michael.
V.M.M.:
No, it is not the aggregates causing this. It is the mind. It is not about having or not having energy.
Just as the ego does mischief through thoughts, it can happen that one thinks about doing what is correct, and the energy drops.
The solution is to not think at all—neither good nor bad—during the alchemical practice. This way, the fire can remain burning during the practice, without being contaminated by smoke (thoughts).
55. T.N., Japan 🇯🇵:
If a person died young in a previous life, what happens with that karma upon rebirth? Thank you, Master.
V.M.M.:
When a person dies young, they generally pay their karma, but all the ego they have not eliminated remains, and upon rebirth, when taking a physical body again, all that unworked ego generates problems and more karma. That is why the definitive solution to all our problems is to disintegrate the ego and the psychological aggregates. That is the only thing that will one day allow us to be permanently happy. Hence, spiritual work and the inner path are well worth it, gradually leading us toward LIBERTY.
56. F.N., Japan 🇯🇵:
I understand that the Teaching imparts the wisdom showing us how to approach God. I understand that we need to comprehend the Master’s doctrine and eliminate the ego. But all this seems so difficult, and I feel powerless. What should I do in this situation as a first step, and what should I prioritize at the beginning? Thank you, Master.
V.M.M.:
Everything you say is true. But it is also true that there is an ego called the ego of defeatism, which tells us: “It is difficult, you will not succeed, it is not for you, etc.” In reality, spiritual work for the human part is almost impossible. I say “almost” because we have the help of our Inner Being, a little part of God. For Him, everything is possible.
So we humans do what we can, and God (our Being), as Divine, does the impossible.
Therefore, one must begin by practicing the Key of SOL, to have more moments of Consciousness, since Consciousness knows what to do. Practice self-observation to begin to know ourselves and see what is not beneficial, because it makes life bitter. Start by working on the egos that bother you the most, the most visible ones, so that little by little the path clears. As you gain percentages of consciousness, you acquire more understanding, willpower, and clarity about your path and goal.
If many have succeeded, why cannot we? Of course we can. Faith in our Masters, in our Being, and in our Divine Mother is necessary, and you will see that it is possible.
57. I.K., Japan 🇯🇵:
When starting to learn and practice Gnosis, it seems that the ego strengthens instead of weakening, making progress even harder. What else should I do besides prayers and practices?
V.M.M.:
Yes, exactly as you say. The ego is like a wild animal: when attacked and cornered, it reacts trying to strike before dying.
Once the ego to be disintegrated is identified, reflect and meditate on the harm that ego causes to yourself and others.
Realize that it would be much better to live without that force inside.
These reflections increase understanding. And as understanding increases, the willpower to face the ego also increases.
I also recommend patience, a lot of patience. With spiritual-psychological work, the ego gradually loses strength until, unexpectedly, it dies.
So continue on your path. If you persist, many wonderful things await you.
