Sabra our activities director with Geri and Judy.
Sabra works tirelessly to plan and execute activities for older ones. Our hardworking carers and staff put in their all to provide more than just the basic needs of our residents.

Spiritual activities like meeting preparation, and letter and phone witnessing are proactively planned out so that the residents can have an active share in the ministry and meetings.

In addition, we have many fun activities that are planned through the day.

No one’s too old to play with balloons! Balloons represent joy and laughter and evoke memories of carefree childhood days. So we decided to let our hair down and have a laugh with some colorful balloons!

Working with plants calms and soothes our minds and gives us a deep sense of satisfaction.

🪴We had a wonderful horticultural activity planned with the residents.
They enjoyed working with nature and learning about these plants.

💚A big shoutout to our activities coordinator and staff who thoughtfully plan out activities like these.

Who doesn’t love a good musical! And our residents are no different. We have some true musical enthusiasts among us, so our staff decided to bring Broadway into the home! The entertainer put on a great show and had us singing along and tapping our feet to some old favorites. 🎤

Giving our seniors what they need to be nourished preserves their dignity, strength, and joy in their golden years. Caring for their nutritional needs is one way we show that deep respect—one thoughtful meal at a time.
At Legacy Place, this is an integral part of the loving care we provide. We understand that it does pose a challenge to make sure elderly ones get the nutrition they need, especially if they don’t feel like eating or need monitoring. We have put together some tips and also shown you what we do at Legacy Place to make this easier. Hope this article helps. (Link in bio and story)

Tara, a resident’s granddaughter has been traveling to Grenada, West Indies to assist with building kingdom halls. She put together a photo and video presentation and shared many of her adventures with the Personal Care and Memory Care residents. We had a large group of residents and visitors in attendance. Everyone enjoyed hearing her encouraging (and funny) stories and experiences.
It was amazing to see how interested these dear faithful ones are about the work that is being done in the organization. Many might have thought back fondly about the projects that they used to be part of and the congregations that they helped build. They might not have the strength to do it today but their prayers are with all these willing volunteers like Tara.
