Trying to figure out what the next step looks like for yourself or someone you love can feel overwhelming. There’s a lot of information, a lot of opinions, and not always a clear place to start.

That’s exactly why we’re teaming up with the Palo Alto County Health System to host Plan Forward.

During this informative session, we'll walk through what Assisted Living really looks like - when it might be time to consider it, what the process involves, and what day-to-day life actually looks like inside an AL.

You’ll also hear from local community health resources, including Palo Alto County Health System, as they share support options available right here in our area.

Emerald Oaks tenants were able to hear some great music as Junior Kyle E. came over to show his talent playing the piano. Kyle also serenaded one of our tenant Lois G. with a Happy Birthday song on her birthday. It was well received and much appreciated. Emerald Oaks always welcome any volunteers to showcase their talents to our tenants, please call at your convenience to set up a date.

Emerald Oaks tenants had been graciously blest with a group young kids from Fenton 4H Club making and giving out Grapevine floral wreathes while on their retreat at Highland Hill. This lovely wreathes will be hanged on their apartment doors for the spring season and will for sure enjoy these pretty decorations. So much love from the community and we surely appreciate the generosity.

The Emmetsburg Care Center/ Emerald Oaks Assisted Living Facility had a friendly food drive competition with Valley Vue facility this last month. Both buildings donated to local food organizations in need. Both teams did an amazing job but ECC and EO came out on top, winning by an extra twelve items! Great job to all! 😀👍

Emerald Oaks Independent and Assisted Living tenants are always ready to make some memories by joining in together with a group of kids from Grace Church. As always these kids are open to share their time with our tenants and is appreciated very well. So much fun getting to know everyone as they brought colors into the facility by dyeing a bunch eggs to commemorate Easter and a room full of laughter. Shoutout to the group leaders and staff for the fun activity.

Emerald Oaks Independent and Assisted Living tenants and staff were happy to assist the community in setting up Easter eggs full of candies for Iowa Lakes Community College community event. We were able to fill up totes full just in time for the Easter Egg hunting this coming April 4th Saturday at the Iowa Lakes college grounds starting at 10AM. The Easter bunny paid a visit to our tenants as well and enjoyed the time for a quick photo or two.
