All full moons have their special energy about them and this year in May we get to experience 2 full moons! Full moons can have many different names and one of them for tonight's full moon is called the Full Flower Moon and was given this name because of its visible at the height of spring when nature is blooming. So much of nature is awakening so it is a great time to set new intentions.
Another name it has been given is Wesak Full Moon, often known as Buddha Day. Under this full moon a powerful current of life energy brings ideas, wishes and intentions from far away. Meditation and prayer practices are especially strong now. This Wesak Full Moon is also about celebrating Buddha's enlightenment who taught freedom through steady awareness, discipline of mind, and clarity of inner seeing. It is to remind us that real strength is not about being firm and unmoving but being flexible and adaptable to change. To flow down the river to bend around the boulders so we do not break against them. This allows the unseen currents of life to carry us and flow through us so we become stronger through the experiences and wiser for the knowledge we have gained.
I have so much gratitude for the blessing we can receive from full moons and how their energies supports our Divine growth. I encourage you all to make a little (or a lot) of time tonight just to sit, open your heart and breathe through it. Become aware of what thoughts are surfacing and you find them resistant, turn them down stream and allow them to just gently flow away to create space and clarity of what you do want to happen in your experience. Just enjoy the quiet, the moon's energy, keep breathing from your heart, and have faith that good things will happen in Divine time while believing and trusting the process.
Happy Full Moon everyone!🌕💫💖
