Anyone else feel like the holidays were amazing...and also a lot? 🎄 🤪

Late nights, extra sugar, travel, big emotions, skipped routines, it all adds up! And once the fun slows down, a lot of parents start noticing their kids just feeling a little off.

That's why so many families bring their kids in after the holidays. Here are five ways chiropractic care can support kids during that reset 👇

1. It helps their nervous system calm down
After weeks of excitement, kids can stay stuck and overdrive. Gentle adjustments help their bodies shift out of fight or flight. So they can settle rest and reset.

2. It supports digestion after all the treats
All the holiday snacks can be rough on little bellies, since digestion is run buy the nervous system supporting that connection can help things move and feel better again.

3. It helps with moods and big feelings
If you've noticed more meltdowns, irritability, or emotional swings, you're not alone. When the nervous system is more regulated, kids handle feelings and transition more smoothly.

4. It helps with focus as routines return
Getting back to school and structure isn't always easy supporting brain body communication can help kids feel more organized, focused, and ready to learn.

5. Kids just feel better
Better sleep, steadier moods, more energy! When their nervous system is supported, everything tends to work a little better, and it shows.

Chiropractic care isn't about "fixing" kids. It's about helping their bodies adapt and regulate. Especially after big season.

If your child feels out of rhythm after the holidays, you're not imagining it. We're here when you're ready 😊

“They’ll grow out of it.”
👉 Why it’s outdated: This dismisses early signs of nervous system dysregulation (like sleep issues, sensory sensitivities, or digestive troubles). Waiting it out can delay supportive care.
💬 Your take: “Kids don’t just ‘grow out’ of stress. If anything, they grow into patterns of compensation. Early support makes a huge difference.”

2. “Colic is normal”
👉 Why it’s outdated: Chronic crying, gassiness, and discomfort aren’t just “phases” they can be signs of an irritated or overwhelmed nervous system.
💬 Your take: “Colic is common, but not normal. Babies are trying to tell us something. Let’s listen, not dismiss.”
3. “Just let them cry it out—they need to learn independence.”
👉 Why it’s outdated: Cry-it-out can lead to a shutdown response (dorsal vagal), not true regulation. Kids don’t learn safety by being alone with stress.
💬 Your take: “Regulation comes from connection. Nervous system health starts with feeling safe—not ignored.”
4. “That’s just how boys are! They’re wild!”
👉 Why it’s outdated: This writes off sensory-seeking or dysregulated behavior that may actually be a child asking for help with nervous system support.
💬 Your take: “Behavior is communication. Wild isn’t bad. It’s often overwhelm.”
5. “You’re spoiling them by holding them too much.”
👉 Why it’s outdated: Physical touch is critical for co-regulation, attachment, and calming a baby’s nervous system. You can’t spoil a nervous system that needs safety.
💬 Your take: “Connection is not a luxury, it’s the foundation of nervous system health.”

Many babies carry tension in their nervous system, even from the very beginning.
Stress during pregnancy, positioning in the womb, and the intensity of birth (even when things go smoothly) can all leave an imprint on a baby’s nervous system.

That stored tension can impact how the cranial nerves function, especially those that control the tongue, jaw, and the ability to suck, swallow, and breathe in a coordinated rhythm

At Raising Wellness, we take a whole-body, nervous system-first approach. We don’t just look at the tongu. We look at how well your baby’s nervous system is regulating, processing, and adapting.

Releasing the tongue tie may be one step, but releasing the underlying tension in the nervous system, before and after the revision, is often what makes the difference in how your baby feeds, heals, and thrives.

Sometimes, when the nervous system is supported early, feeding, tension, and baby’s comfort improves so much that a revision isn’t needed!
When a revision is part of the plan, chiropractic care helps your baby integrate the change with more ease, supporting calm, coordination, and deeper connection with you.

We’re here to help you feel confident, informed, and supported through it all. 💛
