😲If you’ve ever crossed your legs before a sneeze, skipped the trampoline at the gym, or planned your entire running route around public restrooms, I need you to hear this.
You are not broken. And it is not “just a normal part of getting older.”
🧐The fitness industry has completely normalized women leaking during exercise. They tell you to just wear a pad, modify the jump, or accept that your body changed after kids or menopause.
That is terrible advice.
Your pelvic floor is a muscle. And just like any other muscle in your body, when it stops doing its job, it doesn’t need a band-aid. It needs to be rebuilt.
The problem is, you can’t fix a weak pelvic floor by doing more crunches, running harder, or holding your breath through another boot camp. In fact, high-impact workouts usually make the problem worse by driving downward pressure onto an already exhausted system.
