Dr. Stacy Smith has practiced dermatology in the San Diego area for more than 20 years. In that time he has performed research studies on most of the skin treatments available today and continues to work in research to find new and better treatments. A graduate of San Diego State University followed by his MD degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Dr. Smith then became a physician for the US Navy, completing his internship and residency in Dermatology at the Naval Hospital located next to Balboa Park. After leaving the Navy, Dr Smith has practiced at several locations in San Diego County with a specialty in clinical research and development of new treatments in Dermatology. California Dermatology & Clinical Research Institute (CDCRI) is a premier clinical research center in San Diego that is dedicated to dermatology and dermatology specific diseases. CDCRI has the most cutting edge therapy in dermatology, using top of the line technology and innovative new techniques to treat various dermatological ailments, including but not limited to Psoriasis, Acne, Eczema and Warts. We have decades of experience in executing clinical research in dermatology, so you can be sure you will be treated professionally and with respect. We offer this experience and professionalism in a friendly environment, so instead of feeling like you are in a stuffy research building you feel like you are meeting your family doctor, giving you the time and attention you deserve. Dr. Stacy R. Smith has been caring for patients in the San Diego community for over 20 years. With a background in both clinical dermatology and cutting-edge research, he brings decades of experience and innovation to every patient he sees.

After completing his undergraduate studies at San Diego State University, Dr. Smith attended Hahnemann University School of Medicine (Drexel University). He later completed his postgraduate training at the Naval Hospital in San Diego, serving as Chief Resident and teaching faculty.

Since beginning his focus on clinical research in 1997, Dr. Smith has remained dedicated to advancing dermatologic treatments and improving patient care. He is also the author of numerous professional publications and lectures extensively on clinical research and dermatologic therapies.
