Here’s quick that will leave you BURNING 🔥 in less than 10 minutes:

☑️ Start off with a kettle bell swing
☑️ Followed by squats
☑️ Finishing with pulsing squats (remember not to come up to a full stand at the top, and stay in a squat the entire way through to keep the muscle under tension the entire time)

🇺🇸 It has always been my honor to serve. Serving Christ, serving in my church, serving my clients 💪🏽 or serving in The United States Marine Corps

The only way I’m able to do that is by putting on the full armor of God every day 🛡️

Every day is a battle, some days harder than others, but every day when you choose Christ, you have to worry just a little less

✔️ Pro Tip: When your days are dark or you’re feeling down, serve others.

I must admit, helping and serving others helps me to feel joy 🤩 and purpose

Today, and for every day for the rest of my life, I pray for the ability to continue to serve others, serve Christ, and serve my country 🇺🇸

Surround yourself with people who will listen to you and lift you up. Think positive. Be positive. Be happy. Think happy. Change your mindset. Exercise. Eat healthy. Drink more water. Put your head down and grind. You can do more. You’re worth it. Fail. Fail often and get back up. Pursue. And never, ever quit.

Keep it simple!

You can NEVER outrun a bad diet. Nutrition will always be imperative when trying to lose weight.

Understanding the two sources of energy and how to eat the correct amount of both is the number one battle most have. Choose one, stick to it, consume little of the other one

Consistency. A solid plan that you’re consistent with will always equal success.

“I dont want to go to the gym people I look weird and people look at me”

How many of you have felt this way? 🙋🏼‍♀️ I hear it all the time…and you’re not alone

Imagine if everyone you were in the gym with felt the same way…but they showed up anyway 🤯

Every single person has felt the same way you feel, and probably still does. Even those you think look amazing, even those who are regulars, even that cutie 🥰 next to you..but they don’t let that stop 🛑 them from getting healthy and fit

Ever notice how many mirrors 🪞 are in a gym? More often than not, the people you think are looking at you, are too busy looking 👀 at themselves.

So look weird, feel weird, act weird…just get there and get it done 👊🏽

3 things you can do today to become a better leader tomorrow…

1. Listen 🎧
Often times we believe that because we are in a leadership role, others should listen to us. Though that may be why we were appointed to that position, it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be listening to the thoughts, ideas, and even complaints of those we are working for.

2. Set the Example
“Do as I say, not as I do” is an ageless expression we’ve all heard. But how did it make you feel when someone said it to you? A good leader can inspire their subordinates to act right, but a great leader shows them how

3. Establish Trust ✨
This doesn’t happen overnight, but there are actionable steps you can take today in order to lay the ground work. Being attentive to the needs of your people and showing that you truly care is the first steps to establishing trust. Take the time to do so today.

What dream are you chasing? Are you letting your own thoughts get in the way? Thinking you’re not good enough? It’s too far fetched for you to accomplish? 😞

Why?

Stop 🛑 your way of thinking and change it immediately. You can do it. It isn’t humanly impossible, so why can’t it be you? 😯

The truth is that it can be you…but there’s a big obstacle in the way… YOU!

Get out of your own head ❌ and get out of your own way. Put your mind to it and put in the work. You can do anything you put your mind to. Don’t ever forget it 💥

Last week I had the honor & privilege of promoting one of my Marines to the rank of Staff Sergeant.

We joke, it’s the worst rank in the Marine Corps…here’s why.

As a Sgt. You’re at the top of your food chain. You have all of the power and none of the responsibility. You’re likely the most qualified in your job and train the junior Marines to get to your level. You don’t deal with paperwork and if things get really hairy, you tell a Staff Non Commissioned Officer (SNCO), and they handle it.

Then you become one. A SSgt is the first and lowest rank of the SNCO’s. You quickly go from hands on training and leading, to back office paperwork and rosters. You find yourself at the bottom, learning a new role, all over again.

But it’s worth it, and here’s why:

You’re in a position to serve. 🙏🏽 You serve your junior Marines by doing all of the things they need in order to do what they do best.

You’re in a position to protect. 🛡 When “sh*t rolls down hill” you’re the one to stop it before it effects your men. You’re the buffer between the antics from above and the mission carried out. Properly balancing that takes time & finesse, but lies on you to keep your subordinates motivated and protected from the ass chewing you just received for them.

You’re in a position to influence. Your voice is heard loud and clear. One of the tenants of a SNCO is to continue to speak a voice of reason until told to stop. 🛑 That won’t always be easy, but it will be worth it. Stand up for what’s right and remember why you’re doing it (the two points above 👆🏼) Don’t ever forget, you can learn from subordinates, and lead superiors, by your actions, ethics, and character.

SSgt. Thiringer, you are capable of all it takes to be an outstanding SNCO. Your judgement, MOS proficiency, and dedication to your Marines has always shown above and beyond your peers. I’m honored to welcome you to the Staff ranks, and look forward to watching you grow.

On your journey, don’t ever forget to Serve, Protect, and Influence…
