Barry LoSasso, M.D., has been serving San
Diego as a pediatric surgeon since 1985.
Dr. LoSasso opened his private practice in
1987, which continues today with two locations
in San Diego. In addition to performing
general pediatric surgeries, Dr. LoSasso
specializes in treating chest-wall deformities,
opening the West Coast Center of Excellence
for Pectus Deformities in 2006. Since then,
he has successfully performed more than 650
Nuss procedures at Rady Children’s Hospital
and will soon extend his program to adults at
Sharp Memorial Hospital. Dr. LoSasso also
serves the community as part of the trauma
coverage team for Rady Children’s Hospital,
and was the past Trauma Medical Director
from 1998 to 2006.
Dr. LoSasso’s mission statement is “To

to enhance the health and well-being of adults.”
