Dr. Siatnee (Sidnee) Chong (DACM) is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the state of California. She attended both Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and South Baylo University where she graduated with her Master of Science in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine and is Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine candidate. She interned extensively with Master Clinicians in Western and Eastern Medicine, notably from US, China and Korea. Her experience includes Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese Acupuncture, Korean Acupuncture, 5 Element Harmonizing, Sa-Am Technique, Master Tung’s Orthopedic and Pain Management. She was awarded Best Clinician during her internship tenure at South Baylo University. Prior to that, she graduated with a Bachelor degree in Education from Edinburgh University, Scotland, on a full scholarship. Using her comprehensive training in Western biology and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), her scope of practice include the treatment of chronic pain, orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions (acute, chronic and sports injury), internal medicine, female health (menstrual issues, hormonal imbalance, pre/post menopause), stress, anxiety and prevention of ailments using natural foods, lifestyle modifications, acupuncture and herbs. She believes in working together with other medical providers (MDs, DOs, Physical Therapist, NP) to deliver a comprehensive approach best suited for each condition.

Your body is not resisting you.

When something feels overwhelming, the body may tighten, numb, or distract — not because something is wrong, but because it doesn’t feel safe yet.

This is something we talk about inside Root to Radiance:

The body only releases what it feels safe to release.

Pain isn’t always loud… sometimes it shows up as something that just won’t move.

In the clinic, a patient came in with shoulder pain.

As the needle was activated, she felt a heavy sensation slowly travel down her arm…

and then the pain released.

That moment when something shifts internally, when what felt stuck begins to move, is something we see often.

In Chinese medicine, pain is usually a sign that qi and blood aren’t flowing well.

Scar tissue, digestion, and period pain — all connected! ✨

After surgery, a patient’s scar felt numb and tight.
