Neighborhood Redemption Center is looking to add another first shift local straight truck driver and material handling/forklift operator to our team. About half of the time will be spent working in the warehouse and the rest of the time will be spent driving.
This is an ENTRY LEVEL truck driving position, perfect for someone with little to no commercial driving experience looking to start their career.
We are looking for a like minded individual who will fit in well with and be trained by our existing drivers.
This position includes both truck driving as well as loading and unloading during the course of your day. It is a physically demanding job, being on your feet all day and moving bags of empty bottles and cans on and off the truck, but there is no heavy lifting. Using the forklift is required some days, but not all. We are willing to train the right person.
Our trucks are automatic, 24ft box diesel straight trucks with air brakes. No CDL is required for this class of truck
The schedule is Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, and reports out of the Endicott office, located at 2 Badger Ave
The ideal candidate would have the following:
-Clean drivers license (last 3 years required, last 5 years preferred)
-Able to work and drive in all types of weather
-Some forklift driving experience or willingness to learn
-Very dependable, great attendance
-In good physical shape and in good health, a DOT medical card will need to be obtained prior to start date (will be reimbursed if obtained)
-A team player who works well with others
-Organized and prepared
Pay is $17.50-$19.50/hr DOE
