Grief is a natural response to loss. For older adults, the experience of grief can be particularly challenging due to the accumulation of losses and the unique challenges associated with aging.

Grief Ways: An Educational and Expressive Exploration is a support group for seniors (50+) who have experienced the loss of a loved one. This group will occur over a series of ten 90 minute meetings, where you will be invited to explore and share grief experiences in a small group setting.

This will be a closed group, limited to 10 participants. To register or learn more, please call 607-754-2660 by Friday April 24, 2026.

Group is facilitated by Yvonne M. Lucia, LMHC.

This group is offered at no cost to participants through a generous grant from the Mother Cabrini Foundation.

Parental Estrangement is defined as the voluntary physical or emotional distancing between a parent and their child—most commonly an adult child—characterized by little to no communication for a prolonged period.

Approximately 12% of parent-child relationships are estranged.

Our upcoming support group, The Rules of Estrangement, is designed for senior parents of estranged adult children to share their experiences and seek support.

To learn more or register, call 607-754-2660.
