The SJA lays out a clear process for survivors to seek sentencing relief. Not only will they need credible documentary proof that they are a survivor, but they must also prove to the court by clear and convincing evidence that their abuse was a significant contributing factor to the crime. Support HB 5306 and a fair, equitable sentencing framework for survivors! .
