✨ A Special Visit from Connecticut Leaders 🤝🇺🇸

Yesterday, Parkway Pavilion Health & Rehabilitation Center had the honor of welcoming U.S. Representative Joe Courtney and Matt Barrett, President & CEO of the Connecticut Association for Health Care Facilities, for a special visit.

Congressman Courtney took the time to speak with our residents and staff, including a thoughtful conversation with Resident Council President William “Bill” Liston. It was a valuable opportunity for our team to share the exceptional care and dedication that goes into making Parkway Pavilion a true home for our residents.

We were proud to have many of our Parkway Pavilion leadership team on hand for this important visit, including:

🍎🍯 Celebrating Rosh Hashanah Together! 🍯🍎

On Monday, residents of Parkway Pavilion Health & Rehabilitation Center joined Suzanne outdoors for a meaningful and festive Rosh Hashanah celebration.

Under the sunny sky, residents enjoyed learning through a fun true-or-false game about the holiday, creating thoughtful greeting cards, and indulging in sweet traditional treats—applesauce, fresh apple slices, and glazed donuts drizzled with honey.

Posters highlighting the traditions of Rosh Hashanah added to the spirit of the day, making it a beautiful start to the week. ✨

🌟 Resident Testimonial: George Russell 🌟

We’re so grateful to George for sharing his experience here at Parkway Pavilion Health & Rehabilitation Center!

George has been with us for 60 days of rehab and says this is one of the best places he’s been to. He’s been impressed by how our entire team works together with great personalities, always taking care of things no matter what. He especially praised our incredible recreation team — from Suzanne to Heather to Dianne — for bringing residents together for bingo, slider games, ladder ball, sing-alongs, dancing, and even a music circle outside with a fabulous DJ during our ice cream social!

George also shared how fantastic our nurses are at answering questions quickly and accurately, and how incredible our CNAs have been throughout his stay.

📸 : Honoring 100 Years! 🎉

Back in January, we celebrated our amazing resident Al Krupa on his 100th birthday! 🥳

A proud US Army World War II veteran, Al ran Krupa Plumbing and Heating, serving Hartford County and Tolland County for decades. He now enjoys our monthly Veterans Social, time in the sun, gardening, Bingo, Bible study, and sharing smiles with friends and family here at Parkway Pavilion Health & Rehabilitation Center . 🌞💛

🎪 Mock Big E Day 2: Carnival Fun for All! 🎪

Day 2 of Mock Big E Week at was full of carnival magic and joyful moments! 🎉✨

Residents enjoyed visits from adorable pet therapy cats who made special room-to-room stops, bringing comfort and smiles. A huge thank-you to , our fabulous pet therapy volunteer, for sharing so much love with our community. 🐱💛

Outside, the carnival came alive with:
🎯 Co****le bean bag toss
🎡 Spin & Win prize wheel — with stuffed animals and fun necklaces
🎣 A colorful fishing hole game
🏹 And even archery, where helped fellow residents, Veteran assisted with setting up and aiming the bow, and and gave it a try themselves!

It was a day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and community spirit. ❤️

🍦 Mock Big E Day Kicks Off with Sweet Treats! 🍦

Yesterday marked Day 1 of Mock Big E Day here at Parkway Pavilion Health & Rehabilitation Center — and it was an absolute blast! 🎉

Residents and staff were treated to a visit from an ice cream truck, bringing soft serve, smiles, and plenty of fun to our campus. 🍨😊

We were thrilled to welcome back Michael Oldender from Homewatch CareGivers as our DJ, filling the air with great music and good vibes. 🎶

We also had a special guest visit from Jenna Littlefield of Optum, who joined in on the festivities. 💛

It was a beautiful day filled with laughter, community, and summertime joy! 🌞✨
