🌟 Resident Testimonial: Carolyn Smith 🌟

We’re proud to celebrate Carolyn Smith on her successful discharge from ! 💛

Admitted in January 2026 for short-term rehab, Carolyn initially required full assistance with daily care and mobility. Through dedication and hard work—alongside our therapy, nursing, and care teams—she made incredible progress in strength, mobility, and independence. She advanced from a pureed diet to a regular diet and is now able to safely ambulate with a rolling walker.

Carolyn has returned home with support, reaching her goals and regaining her independence. In her words, “These guys in therapy and nursing are my life savers.”

Today at , staff members came together to celebrate Executive Director Renee Barclay on her birthday! It was a wonderful moment of appreciation, laughter, and community as team members took time out of their day to make her feel special and recognized for all she does.

From warm wishes to shared smiles, the celebration was a reminder of how meaningful strong leadership and a supportive workplace culture can be. The team truly made sure the day was nothing short of Barclay-tastic—because when it comes to celebrating Renee, they didn’t “re-née-glect” a single detail! 😉

🎉🃏 A Winning Start to the Week at ! 🃏🎉

We kicked off the week on a high note this Monday with a lively bingo afternoon hosted by the Enfield Women’s Club! Residents enjoyed exciting games, great company, and plenty of chances to win.

The club also brought along delicious snacks and refreshing drinks to round out the afternoon—making it a truly well-rounded (and well-loved!) event. Many residents walked away with winnings, treats, and most importantly, big smiles.

A heartfelt thank you to the Enfield Women’s Club for their generosity and for helping us start the week on such a fun and positive note! 💙

Last week at , residents were treated to a special visit from Riley during pet therapy—and it was simply un-fur-gettable! Cynthia and Deb especially enjoyed spending time petting the beautiful dog, sharing smiles and soaking in the comfort and joy that only a furry friend can bring.

In honor of Passover, was grateful to welcome Rabbi Shectman to our facility for a meaningful and heartfelt Seder ceremony. Residents gathered together to take part in this special tradition, where they learned songs and poems that reflect the rich history and significance of the holiday. The celebration also included grape juice and light snacks, allowing everyone to fully embrace the customs of the occasion.

Passover, also known as Pesach, commemorates the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. It is a time of reflection, storytelling, and togetherness, as families and communities come together to share the Seder meal and pass down traditions through generations. Dan has been part of the family since May 2020, arriving during the height of COVID. Known for his helping spirit, he was always ready to lend a hand with projects, decorations, and supporting fellow residents—while sharing his love for electronics and movies.

After patiently waiting, Dan is now returning to the community with support through MFP. While he will miss everyone at Parkway, he is excited to begin this next chapter in his own apartment. 💙

At , we’re always looking for meaningful (and delicious!) ways to support well-being. In honor of Stress Awareness, residents and staff enjoyed refreshing yogurt parfaits that brought both smiles and a moment of calm to the day.

A special thank you to Janine, who did an amazing job preparing these beautiful treats—everyone was raving about how delicious they were!
