Have you heard of the “Shoe Test”?
Quick test: Bend your sneaker in half.
If it folds easily like a taco, it may not be giving your arch the support it needs.
Shoes should bend at the toes, not through the middle. Proper structure helps prevent heel pain, arch strain, and overuse injuries. Support starts with what’s on your feet. Looking for more podiatric support? Give us a call today: https://www.ctfoot.com/

While it can be startling to see your feet change shape, swelling is a common way your body signals that fluid isn't moving quite right. But it could also be a sign of a heart issue. If you’ve noticed your feet and ankles are looking larger than normal, here is what we at PodiatryCare, PC, and the Heel Pain Center think you should do next. https://tinyurl.com/448m2nf7

Because your toes are tucked away in socks and shoes, it is easy to dismiss a little discoloration or a weird ache as just part of getting older. But not for us at PodiatryCare, PC, and the Heel Pain Center! Our toes are the furthest point from our heart and are packed with tiny blood vessels and nerves, which makes them the first place many systemic health issues show up. https://tinyurl.com/5n7bd2n3

February is American Heart Month, so ask yourself:
Is that ache you've been having a charley horse...or a blood clot (DVT)?
CRAMP: Sudden, tight knot. Relieved by stretching.
CLOT: Deep ache, warm skin, redness. Stretching doesn't help.
If it’s warm and red, go to the ER. And if you've got heart health questions that relate to footcare, please be sure to call us:

While many of our patients at PodiatryCare, PC, and the Heel Pain Center freak out that they have a bony bump at the bottom of their heel, we usually reassure them. These little bony protrusions can be a real nuisance, but understanding why they show up and how they act is the first step toward getting your stride back. Let’s explore what heel spurs are and how they form. https://tinyurl.com/5n73wj6p
