At Romeo Athletics, we choose to honor Memorial Day and the brave Americans who gave their lives for our country, by participating in the Murph Challenge. “Murph” was created in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.⁠

The workout was one of Mike's favorites and he'd named it "Body Armor.” It is now referred to as "Murph" in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.⁠

A beautiful day for Tommy...

We do this workout each year in honor of Gunnery Sgt. Thomas J. Sullivan. Tommy was a Springfield, MA native and the recipient of two Purple Hearts. He also served two tours in Iraq.

On Thursday, July 16th 2015 during a terror attack on the Naval Reserve Center in Chattanooga, TN, Sullivan saved the lives of 13 Marines and a sailor by bringing them to safety before returning to face an active shooter, and ultimately giving his life while defending his country.

"I’m a passionate personal trainer, class coach, and certified Zumba and Turn Up Dance Fitness instructor. My mission is to help people feel strong, confident, and energized through fun, challenging, and effective workouts. Whether we’re lifting in the weight room, dancing to the beat, or crushing a circuit session, I focus on creating a positive and supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

When I’m not coaching, you can usually find me spending time with my family and pets — or hunting for the next spooky addition to my Halloween collection!"
