Home is more than a place — it’s where confidence grows, independence thrives, and community begins. 💙

Through our residential services, participants are supported in reaching personal goals while building everyday life skills like cooking, cleaning, shopping, and more. From individualized home support to group living, we’re creating spaces where every resident can grow, connect, and feel empowered to live life their way. 🏡✨

Here’s a note from a family whose sister Debbie lives in an Allied residence: “Debbie has been part of the Allied community since 1964. Now 68, she attends Allied's Day Program, where she thrives socially — enjoying dances, friendships, and Special Olympics competitions in swimming and track and field, where she's earned many medals. Debbie also lives in an Allied residence, where she receives 24-hour care from a dedicated team. She eagerly looks forward to seeing her peers and favorite staff on a daily basis. As a family, we are extremely thankful for the community Allied has given our big sister, Debbie.”

Allied staff had a great time participating in the annual Enfield Volleyball Tournament last Saturday at Enfield High School! 🏐

As we recognized National Physical Fitness & Sports Month this May, the tournament was a wonderful reminder of how we can come together as a broader community through sports and activities like this. Allied joined Enfield High Unified, JFK Unified, the Enfield Police Department, Enfield Fire District 1, and the Enfield Department of Public Works for an exciting day of teamwork, community spirit, and fun!

Thank you to everyone who participated, organized, and supported this amazing event! 💙

We're hiring! Allied Community Services is looking for an Accountant to join our finance team in Enfield, CT.

This full-time role is a great fit for an experienced accounting professional who wants their work to mean something. You'll handle key financial processes — reconciliations, month-end close, audit prep, state contract billing — while supporting a nonprofit that helps adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live meaningful, independent lives.

What we're looking for:
-3+ years of general ledger or staff accounting experience
-Strong reconciliation and month-end close skills
-GAAP knowledge and Excel proficiency
-Nonprofit, government, or social services experience a plus
