Lt Achilles Tendon repair with flexor hallucis longus tendon transfer; fresh post op at 7 wks, PWB on walking boot with 2 cm heel lift with crutches, moves around with knee scooter, no DF!goals; protect healing tissue, re**rd atrophy (5 cm difference in calf and 3 cm in thigh girth vs rt), decrease swelling and inflammation.

Notice improvement in leg color, scar color and swelling: Class IV laser for healing, STM/lymph draining; AAROM foot and ankle motions.

“PHYSICAL THERAPY WORKS”
Pt is an avid golfer. Diagnosed with disc herniation; sequestered disc @ L2-L3. Surgery recommended. MD decided to refer to PT. Treated the pt 80% manual therapy, 20% thera ex; 4 weeks after PT: disc herniation reduced by 80%; MD canceled surgery: pt is now back to playing golf!
