The Cook performs a variety of tasks that facilitate the provision of food services and nutrition support to patients, employees and visitors.

* Knowledge of basic principles and requirements of food safety and sanitation required.

* Previous experience in food preparation in a healthcare environment preferred.

* Ability to work with minimal supervision.

* High school diploma or GED

* Certified CPR

* Minimum one (1) year of documented experience is required

* Florida Licensed driver with reliable transportation

* Auto Insurance

* Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality

* Clean Background and criminal record (AHCA)

* Negative TB Test (done within the past 6 months) or chest x-ray results (done within the past 12 months)

* Work Physical (within the last 12 months)

* State of Florida approved Alzheimer’s Training Certificate

* State of Florida approved HIV/AIDS Training Certificate

NOTE: Candidates must have exceptional med tech and/or administrative experience in order to qualify for the highest hourly pay.

Responsibilities
* Provide client with hygiene care as directed including, but not limited to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, un******ng, toileting activities, feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, laundry

* Take and record height, weight, change of condition if necessary

* Document observed changes and report any changes to the Administrator

* Assist clients with medication, document and maintain MORS, order, receive, and maintain resident medication

* Assist client in walking and transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, shopping

* Develop and promote a safe environment for quality client care through adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards

* Ensure client’s rights are adhered to
Requirements

* High school diploma or GED

* Successful completion of a nursing assistant program

* Certification as a CNA Preferred

* Certified CPR

* Minimum one (1) year of documented experience is required
