Traumatic Brain Injury After Accidents: Why Early Diagnosis Matters
Last week in Elmwood Park, NJ, I spoke with New Jersey personal injury attorneys at the Law Offices of Grosso & Sarkisian about traumatic brain injury (TBI)—a condition that is still frequently underdiagnosed after car accidents and falls.
Many patients experience symptoms such as headaches, memory or concentration problems, mood changes, sleep disruption, or balance issues, even when early imaging appears normal. When these symptoms are missed or delayed, they can significantly affect long-term health, work capacity, and legal outcomes.
During the presentation, we discussed the importance of early neurological evaluation, objective testing, and proper medical documentation in accident-related TBI cases. I also shared that Allied Neurology & Interventional Pain Practice now offers specialized Independent Medical Evaluations (IMEs) for suspected traumatic brain injury.
