This week, we were proud to host our residents and their families for a special meet-and-greet with our Administrator, Trevor Dublin, Administrator in Training, Daniel Friedman, Director of Nursing, Jessica Odum, and Admissions Director, Darcie Sanchez. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, answer questions, and share our vision for compassionate, high quality care.

We also welcomed a couple valued community partners, Grace Hospice and Lumina Care, who shared more about the vital services they provide to support our residents and their families every step of the way. Moments like these remind us that we are stronger together. By collaborating and supporting one another, we can make sure that we are today and every day.

When someone you love is getting ready to leave the hospital, it’s easy to focus on one thing:

ā€œAre they strong enough to come home?ā€

But here’s something many families don’t realize…

Being strong enough to walk isn’t the same as being ready to live safely at home.

Occupational Therapy helps patients relearn everyday tasks like:

āœ”ļø Getting dressed
āœ”ļø Showering safely
āœ”ļø Preparing meals
āœ”ļø Moving around the home with confidence

It’s one of the most important parts of recovery—and one of the most overlooked.

We put together a simple guide to help you understand why it matters.

When most people think about rehabilitation after a hospital stay, they think of physical therapy—walking again, building strength, regaining mobility. But what many don’t realize is this: Getting stronger isn’t the same as being ready to go home. That’s where Occupational Therapy (OT) comes...

Today is National Healthcare Decisions Day

This day is a reminder that your voice matters, especially when it comes to your health. Afterall, it is . Take time to talk with your loved ones, make your wishes known, and put your care preferences in writing. Planning ahead isn’t just smart, it’s an act of care. Here are five tips to help you have the right conversations.

1) You don't have to talk about everything, to everyone, all at once. The conversation of care should be an ongoing one as care journeys change.

2) Be patient. The idea of talking about healthcare directives can be overwhelming at first. Start off with small, quick conversations to get the ball rolling, and the longer, in-depth conversations will follow.

3) You don't have to lead the whole conversation. Allowing your loved ones to share their thoughts and concerns during these discussions is crucial. They may suggest something you hadn't yet considered.

4) Nothing you say is permanent. You can change your mind as often as you would like, but it starts with having conversations.

5) You may learn that your loved ones don't agree with your plans and wishes, and that's okay! The important thing is that you are having these conversations now and that you continue having them. This will ensure your loved ones will know your choices and follow through with them.
