Boston Marathon 2025. What an amazing day. Boston is historic and elitist. I was worried. I raised money for This charity fit me well. Empowering Women through Running with at the helm. It was a hot 🥵 day to begin with. It was crowded, and I was out too fast. I knew who was cheering on the course and that is how I broke down each of the next steps. was at 5K so I just needed to get there. Next was at about mile 8. Dana saved me and is a fixture races so I was going to find her. She had a 6 star sign! My training season had been hard including work stress and freezing temperatures so I really wanted to just finish under the elapsed time to pick up my star and have a blast. I locked into my goals and OMG people there was no holding back my FUN VIBES. I had a lot of ice pops. I found all the Fearless ladies. These college kids are fantastic fans . found me which I knew there was a chance would happen, and it was incredible. We ran down the streets yelling “That’s my bestie” to amazing cheers. I smiled, danced, and swaggered. This is my parade right? I saw again! I saw Josh, an undergrad who shadows me at the medical tent right near 💔 hill. Then Reis, Joey, and Riley who made the most gorgeous signs I did not see. My brain was on overload and I just needed to hit that 5:30 finish. Right on Hereford and left of Boylston! Boylston was EPIC. It felt like I won the whole damn thing. Meredith was at the finish line with me. Soooooo Thank you, Boston!!! My forehead is sunburn, my legs are sore, and my heart is full.
