There are natural ways to boost immunity. Not just meditation.

At my office, the Center for Holistic Medicine (CHM), we have had 85 COVID patients. At this time, no one has been hospitalized, no one has been diagnosed with pneumonia, and there have been no deaths. There are five practitioners at CHM: Drs. Brownstein, Ng, Nusbaum, Jenny Drummond, PA, and Tayl....

Gratitude post! Grateful for feeling better - no more migraine today! My office is organized and pictures on the wall! All of the boxes and clutter in the photo are out of the dining room - things put away and sorted! Drapes hung! Feels like home more now! Ahhhh!

Trying to make plans of what to tackle next! Big walk at the Lake near the house to wear out the dog!

I'm so grateful for the time and feeling better so I can accomplish my list of "to do" things.

What have you been up to?

Gratitude post! In all of the virus shut down, I am seeing so many wonderful things happening around me.

1) Social media has been so full of funny and inspirational posts. It brings a smile to my face how creative and insightful people are!
2) People around town are doing their best to remain at home. I know its hard, but they care enough about their families and the community to do what is required.
3) People are helping in so many ways in their community.
4) People are reconnecting through texts, video chats, phone calls and emails. Reaching out to friends and loved ones! Warms my heart!
5) Posting new and tasty recipes for us to keep us challenged in the kitchen. Otherwise, all I'd want to eat is cereal!
6) Taking time to do self-care, go outside, be creative, etc.

With deepest gratitude, Thank you for brightening my day! Hoping you are healthy, Happy and staying home as much as you can. Love and Light! 😘

There is a lot of fear and heightened emotions in the world today. Under "quarantine" removes you from your physical community of friends that you relied on to help. Media keeps reminding us all day on how dangerous this disease is - and for many the fear and anxiety grow more.

Often fear stems from feeling as though you have no control over your situation. Everyone handles this differently. Some people hoard toilet paper, some people binge watch tv, some people feel consumed by the fear and depression.

If you are having a hard time, please reach out to those you know. Arrange a face time or zoom meeting with friends. Some creative mom's are meeting in their cars in an empty parking lot - staying in their cars (social distancing) but still getting together.

Get involved. Try a new hobby. Sort out your closet. Journal your feelings. Learn yoga (lots of free videos out there). Keep busy. Make a schedule so your life has some structure. There are so many things we can do to support ourselves! Reach out!

Sharing what I am doing to keep myself sane, grounded and happy. In the spirit of doing something creative yesterday, I signed up for a free online/virtual painting session with guidance from the instructor at Cocktails and Canvas. They are currently offering several more free sessions with different paintings. Hoping to catch another one this weekend.

So off to Walmart (only "craft" store open right ow) for paint, brushes and Canvas. Adult beverage already at the house. Supplies in hand, I put down plastic bags to protect the table. Set up a makeshift easel and ta-da I made some "art". It's supposed to be similar to the teacher's art entitled Monet's water Lilies. Passable, but it was fun getting to express my creativity! And I'll even hang it on the wall! :-)

Earlier today, I joined my monthly class via zoom meeting this time. So I engaged with my supportive community and had a lovely time. Hoping to get some reading done later, maybe a nap, and maybe a movie.

What are you doing to support yourself today? Feel free to post below!

As we enter further into the imposed shut down, it is common for us to start being a bit stir crazy and more agitated in general. Often we turn to more comfort foods to self-soothe and sometimes get crabby with our loved ones. This is normal whether you are working from home or off work for the next few weeks. It is a stressful time as we reduce our physical contact with the outside world.

When you see these signs and symptoms build, don't forget your tools! Grab a healthy snack (apple with nut butter), sit down and make a list of many things that help you find focus, calming and inner peace. These are your self care items like meditating, journaling, being creative, etc. Pull out your calendar or datebook. Schedule at least one self-care item from your list per day. If necessary, schedule it with a timer in your phone. Whatever works for you. Setting a specific time can be helpful - it lets you know you are important! You are worth it!

And if you are craving contact, set p a zoom or facetime chat with a loved one or friend, or multiple friends. Have a virtual get together!

And remember to be gentle with yourself and others around you. These are difficult times for everyone. And we all deal with it in different ways. Try to be supportive to those at ground zero with you as well as with yourself.

If I can be of help with any nutrition advice, distance energy work, or to chat you through a grounding and centering meditation.....or if you just want to say hi, then reach out by phone, text, or email!

Stay sane, healthy and happy!

Hello everyone! Life has been on full blast of late for me. Until today, as my services are part of the non-essential list. I'm officially at home and will soon be tackling odd jobs around the house to fill my days.

With the inundated media surrounding the COVID-19 situation, I wanted to address a few things:

1) Please do your best to stay home and maintain social distance with others. This is KEY to keeping the spread of the virus under control.
2) Wash your hands frequently and for 20 seconds. Sing a song to help...ABC''s, Happy Birthday song, or Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

3) Wipe down your hands and car surfaces after returning from the grocery store or pharmacy.

4) Be sure to get a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet to help boost your immune system.

5) Remember to step away from tv, social media and devices often. This gives us time to process things, be active, fight off depression, and keep sanity too.

And last but not least...to help with keeping your positive mind set, this list really covers all the bases!

Stay healthy, we'll rested, fed, active, and engaged with loved ones, neighbors and friends!
