The information provided here about Colorado Pregnancy and Newborn Loss Services ("CPNL"), formerly known as the Colorado Fetal & Newborn Loss Consultation & Support Program ("CFNL"), provides an overview of program services available. The goal of our pregnancy and newborn loss support program is to provide a system of comprehensive support and grief education to parents and their families during

this difficult time, while our pregnancy after a loss program guides clients through subsequent pregnancy after a loss. Because grief affects every person differently, clients may choose to participate as a couple or as an individual. When I lost my baby, I was a complete mess. There is no name for a mother that has lost a child. A friend of mine that went through the loss of a child, shared this poem with me. This poem has helped me out through so many emotions. I hope it can help someone else.

I am

I am
a bereaved mother,
a grieving
Quasi-supermom
I straddle time and space
You might feel pulled in two direction,
But let me tell you
How it feels to be pulled
Between
Heaven and Earth
