The residents enjoyed a wonderful visit to The Farm Sanctuary in Tipp City. They had the chance to see pigs, llamas, alpacas, ponies, goats and even a horse that is 33 years old, which equals 93 in human years. There was a beautiful butterfly that flew among the residents while they visited the animals. One of the highlights of the day was spending time playing with the adorable kittens, which brought lots of smiles and laughter.

Thank you to Don & Ryan Rose for coming to Brookdale Englewood. They filled the community with lively music. They performed favorite songs from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, bringing back memories and smiles for the residents. Everyone enjoyed singing along, clapping, and reminiscing to the classic tunes.

The residents celebrated National Potato Day by making potato candy together. They peeled and mashed potatoes, mixed them with lots of powdered sugar, rolled out the sweet mixture, spread peanut butter on top, and then rolled it all up. Everyone had fun and enjoyed the delicious homemade candy!

The residents enjoyed some frozen hot cocoa on a super hot day. It was very easy to make with three ingredients: cold chocolate milk, powdered hot cocoa and ice. Blend until smooth, top with whipped cream. Simply delicious.
