Our Story

Whole Person Counseling is a private practice developed by Nic Showalter, M.A., CAC-III to treat Trauma, Substance Abuse/Dependence, Mental Health symptoms and S*xual issues related to Dysfunction, Performance, and Trauma. Nic sees adolescent and adult clients for therapy. He utilizes a holistic approach to counseling and treatment that assesses all aspects of the individual’s life and seeks to restore a person’s overall quality of life. Nic has been in the field of evaluation and counseling since 1994, and has vast experience in the use of evidence based treatment modalities. Nic is specially trained and certified in the areas of Trauma Treatment, Substance Abuse/Dependence, Mental Health and S*x Therapy. He has trained under the Clinical Director at the University of Colorado CeDAR program and through the Kempe Center for the latest in trauma treatment protocols. He is a caring and compassionate practitioner. Nic’s fees are reasonable at $100 for a 50-minute session. He also operates a sliding scale fee structure starting at $50 for a 50-minute session for clients experiencing financial difficulties. His fees for trauma, mental health and/or substance abuse evaluation with a written report are $200, and $250 if needed within 3-5 days. Nic operates a cash practice and accepts all forms of payment including credit cards and flex spending/health savings account cards.
