EP77: From the Dark to the Light with Jason Hopcus

Jason Hopcus is a motivator and catalyst for cultural change within organizations. He believes that connection to one’s self, one’s transparency, and one’s passion to connect, allows individuals to live a wholly authentic, full life.

He creates systems of people working to deepen their relationships to their work, their play, and ultimately our world.

Jason’s mission is to advance human connection by embracing the conversation of fighters; the folks whose journeys from black to light give hope to those who deserve a 2nd or even a 3rd chance to be the ambassadors of conversation.

Today, Jason and I will discuss the power of focusing on those individuals who have turned their life around.

MENTAL HEALTH IS HEALTH!

Many of you know my commitment to support the positive advancement of how we see mental health. This deeply personal work is framed from my own struggle and those of other's I care about.

Recently, I read a wonderful memoir from , The Snipers We Couldn't See. Each page detailed her courageous journey of navigating her mother's mental illness.

Karen's raw and intimate story illuminates the tentacles of mental illness and how each painful experience can affect anyone in its circle of influence for a lifetime.

Today, Karen uses her story with determination to help others heal along the way. Her passion supporting young people who might be actively living through similar experiences is making a difference.

The Sniper's We Couldn't See is a beautiful story of grace, redemption, and hope. It reminds me that even in the darkest times there is light to be found. And, couldn't we all benefit from more of that.
