Dr. Monica Tadros is a distinguished Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon and Educator. She has offices located on Park Avenue in Manhattan and Bergen County, New Jersey. She is one of a small number of surgeons to attain dual board certification in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and has combined the two specialties in her unique practice of aesthetic medicine. She was appointed the Director of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Asst. Professor of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the prestigious Columbia University in 2006, where she taught many generations of residents and medical students, the art and science of Form and Function and the healing power of compassion. Open rhinoplasty involves a small incision across the columella (the strip of skin between the nostrils), which gives better visibility and access during surgery. Closed rhinoplasty uses incisions inside the nostrils, so there are no visible external scars.

Turbinates are structures inside the nose that warm and moisturize the air we breathe. When they become enlarged, they can block airflow— leading to congestion, snoring, and difficulty breathing.

After a radiofrequency treatment, the turbinates shrink and the airways open up, making a big difference in how well you can breathe. You can really see the improvement in this patient’s results. 😊

One of my favorite procedures to perform is radiofrequency surgery, and I’m excited to have it on the schedule today.

This minimally invasive procedure uses radiofrequency energy to reduce enlarged nasal turbinates, helping to open the airways and improve breathing with minimal downtime.

Ethnic rhinoplasty is a little different from traditional rhinoplasty because it’s meant to enhance features that are common in certain backgrounds— without taking away what makes them unique.

For this patient, we focused on augmenting the bridge, refining the tip, and narrowing the nostrils, all while making sure her natural features stayed beautifully intact.
