I am so tired of the conversation that the bacteria in raw food will kill our animals and potentially harm the humans they live with. With that said, raw food may not be appropriate for all dogs. That’s ok, there are many other options out there besides highly processed kibble!

Adding EVOO as an applied part of your dog’s diet can provide:
*A brain boost-it can improve blood flow in older dogs and can support their memory and brain function. EVOO possesses compounds that contribute to brain health. Studies found that a particular polyphenol called oleocanthal which is found in olives and EVOO can protect the brain against cognitive decline in older dogs. *Heart health-EVOO is rich in antioxidant features because of its wealth of polyphenols, vitamin E, clorophyll and carotenoids which reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and diabetes as well. *Support for joints and reduce inflammation-oleocanthal has recently been highlighted as a therapeutic compound that may be of interest in the quest to find suitable natural NSAIDs for the treatment of joint degenerative disease. *Cancer prevention and support-studies have reported that the phenolic compounds in EVOO can inhibit the initiation and metastasis of several types of cancer. Furthermore oleocanthal has a pro-apoptotic effect on cancer cells. Incorporating it into the rotation can potentially lower the incidence of many types of cancer. Greek EVOO has been proven to have the highest level of oleocanthal. Dosage should not exceed 1 tsp per 20 lbs daily.

I love it when you make bone broth and get a gel full of nourishing, gut-healing gelatin, collagen, minerals, and amino acids! I add it to raw goat milk or raw goat milk kefir from Green Juju for Bodhi as a snack twice a day. Add to meals for joint support and gut health. 🍖🐾💃🏻

This is a before-and-after comparison six months after we adopted Bodhi. It’s wild how different he looks! I see it the most in his eyes, the color of his nose, and the color of his coat. Fresh food nutrition and proper supplementation can be transformational! He still has a ways to go as we support his immune system and detox pathways, but he has made tremendous progress.
