Dear Parents/Caregivers,

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is interested in hearing parent and caregiver opinions and feedback on current AAP messaging related to children’s mental and behavioral health. You are invited to share your thoughts by participating in a focus group project.

As part of this project, you will:

Participate in one focus group discussion
Review several brief communications assets (e.g., videos) with messaging around mental and behavioral health.
Then, two weeks later, you will be asked to participate in a second focus group.
The AAP will use your feedback to inform our work in developing messages that connect with parents and caregivers. If you complete both focus groups, you will receive a $100 electronic gift card ($50 for each focus group). This gift card will be sent to you via email upon completion of the second focus group.

Participation in this project is voluntary. If you decide to participate, you may refuse to answer any question for any reason and can stop participating in the project at any time for any reason. Each focus group discussion will take around 90 minutes.

⚠️ Office closing Friday, April 24 ⚠️

Our office will be closed tomorrow for our team members affected by tonight's storms. Two staff members will be in the office to answer phone calls and reschedule appointments in the morning.

Happy Linda day! 🎉

Linda is invaluable to our team and keeps everything running on a day to day basis. She has grown into her role as practice manager and focused on acquiring new skills and confidence in managing all aspects of a busy pediatric practice. We don’t know where we’d be without her!

Happy 2nd NWP anniversary to Angela! Angela came to us with a lot of pediatric experience and is meticulous when it comes to caring for her patients. She’s been a real asset for the last 2 years, and we could not be more grateful for her! 💕

Our former medical assistant, Alyssa, just had her baby! She and her husband welcomed their little boy late Saturday night. Karla, Alyssa's mom and medical receptionist at NWP, also gained a grandson!

Our team got the opportunity to meet him earlier today. Congratulations, Alyssa! 🍼💙

We’ve been celebrating all week! We marked medical assistant Alyssa’s last Wednesday in the office with an ice cream sundae party today 💗

Alyssa’s mom, medical receptionist Karla, brought her to us as a patient, so she truly grew up here at NWP. Now, Alyssa leaving to start a new chapter as a full time mom herself!

We are so proud of Alyssa and will miss her so much 🫶🏼

Thank you to Healthy Schools Oklahoma for inviting us to participate in our first-ever health fair on Monday evening!

We attended the Health University Resource Fair at Monroe Elementary alongside some other great organizations. We encouraged kids to "eat the rainbow" with some health snacks and talked about the importance of eating a whole spectrum of rainbow-colored fruits like strawberries, oranges, pineapples and grapes. 🍍🍇🍊🍓

Special shoutout to medical assistants Utena and Maribel for imagining the "eating the rainbow" concept! 🌈
