INTEGRIS Health Enid Hospital is proud to open the first Patient Food Pantry among rural INTEGRIS Health hospitals!

Thanks to a grant from the Oklahoma Hospital Association and a partnership with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, eligible patients facing food insecurity can now receive food boxes at discharge. Each box includes enough non-perishables to last one or two people about two weeks, plus healthy recipes and local resource guides.

This pantry is just one way we’re addressing key needs identified in our Community Health Needs Assessment, because access to food is essential to recovery and overall well-being. 💙

While nursing pillows may look cozy, they’re not safe for infant sleep.

These pillows can be helpful during feeding, but using them to prop your baby or for infant sleep can increase the risk of suffocation, overheating and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). INTEGRIS Health recommends the following safe sleep guidelines:

✅ Always place your baby on their back to sleep
✅ Use a firm, flat mattress in a safety-approved crib, bassinet or play yard
✅ Keep the sleep area free of pillows, blankets, stuffed toys and bumpers
✅ Room-share without bed-sharing

Before becoming an orthopedic surgeon, Thomas Hsing, M.D., spent 10 years working as a mechanical engineer. But something was missing. He wanted to help people more directly, and when he shadowed an orthopedic surgeon everything clicked.

“It had everything I loved about engineering and everything I was looking for in medicine.”

Now he brings that same problem-solving mindset to every patient he treats. His philosophy? Treat people the way they want to be treated, explore every option before surgery and focus on restoring everyday life.
