SB 1067 would slash critical EMS payment rates and force ambulance services to cut back and close.

SB 1067 will be heard in the House Rules committee in the next two weeks.

We need to remain engaged with our legislators. SB 1067 reduces pay rates which will threaten EMS and put Oklahoma lives at risk.

Ambulance deserts exist in 96% of Oklahoma counties — and more EMS agencies are shutting down or scaling back.

SB 1067 would strain struggling providers even further, making emergency care harder to receive in rural communities.

The OKAMA Spring Conference is being combined with the Heroes in the Heartland conference this year. The OKAMA portion will be a pre-conference event occurring on June 25th, 2024, at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center located at 2501 Conference Dr., Norman, OK 73069. The agenda for the conference is attached along with information about the sessions.

We will have exciting sessions from:
Scott Moore with an Important OSHA update
Asbel Montes talks about a space for grace in leadership
Brett Lyle asks us if we have gone soft on our essential leadership skills
Edward Shepard will join us to talk about how we can reduce work-related injuries
Angie Johnson will bring us up to date on the new Managed Medicaid program as well as the latest info on HB2872, which becomes law on January 1st
