It's been a busy last few weeks with family visits and now the start of harvest season. We figured some R&R was just what the soul needed ❤️

Today's plan.. making glycerites and salves.. which means crushing up ingredients and seeping with either vegetable glycerin or coconut oil. In the pic we've got hops, clover, mullein, Hawthorne berries and rose hips. With these ingredients we'll end up with medicines for the lungs, liver, heart and skin, not to mention calm the nerves ❤

Full disclosure- I completely forgot how difficult it is grinding berries like that, and while it made a nice pic, I ended up using my electric coffee grinder !

The big lilac is going crazy this year and smells just amazing! Kinda thinking of making lilac jelly, it's been a few years since the last batch and it's got such a beautiful, light flavor that is just perfect on some toast with a cup of tea... And talk about good timing, I got this pic of Lelu photo-bombing, carrying one of her footballs.
