This is a serious issue!! Shout out to those that are in school trying to do things the right way. If people would stop supporting those that are not licensed this would put a stop to this. This post will step on some toes and I’m not sorry. Most people look down on our industry and the reason is because people will attend college and never obtain a license or they are blessed with a gift and do not want to invest in themselves. Those of us that are licensed is competing with those that has no intention of obtaining a license. Then y’all will post a flyer about offering classes and you’re not certified to teach anything so yo peeps are paying money for a certificate that means NOTHING! So you’re wondering why you are not booked and busy…….because you taught someone what you know and now their business is booming because YOU (LICENSED INDIVIDUALS) taught them what you know and they are not certified to do what you do! If we would stick together as professionals and stop the madness we could have a lot of wealth for those that attended school and has the credentials. It goes beyond this for me because not only are y’all breaking the law in the beauty industry, you are not paying taxes either. I know people will have a lot to say… GO AHEAD……I WILL WAIT!!!
And those of you going to the lowest bidder…..put yourself in these ladies/gentleman shoes….If you have a credential or degree in a field, how would you feel if you are not paid what you think you are worth? Cheap self 😂 get on my nerves wanting to look like a million bucks for $50!!! My name is Beverly Thornton and I approve this message!!!
