Our Veterans and team enjoyed the coolest day of the summer out at Lake Tholocco with the friends from the Veterans Family Assistance Center of Columbus Georgia and Ft Rucker’s MWF. Veterans were able to fish, go boat riding, and enjoy an awesome catered lunch!

Today is the National Women's Equality Day. We would like to recognize and honor the service of our women Veterans and the women currently serving our great country in the Armed Forces.

Women have assisted in our nation's war efforts beginning back in the American Revolutionary War and Civil War - many volunteering as nurses like Clara Barton, who later founded the American Red Cross. The first formal, uniformed service of women in the U.S. military began in World War I, when they served in the Army Nurse Corps and Navy Nurse Corps, and when they enlisted in the Navy and Marine Corps - marking the first time American women served in the U.S. military in uniform.
