✘ Often ignores the betrayed partner’s trauma, and it’s hard to be fully honest with your partner in the room
⭐ Support Groups → 6/10
✔ Helps you feel less alone and validated
✘ Lacks personal, one-on-one guidance to move forward
⭐ Journaling / CBT → 5/10
✔ Good for reflection and noticing patterns
✘ Betrayal trauma lives in the body, not just the mind → so you can end up looping
⭐ Somatic Therapies (yoga, breathwork, TRE) → 7/10
✔ Excellent for calming the body and nervous system
✘ Best when paired with a structured trauma approach
⭐ EMDR Therapy → 10/10
✔ Gold-standard trauma treatment
✔ Helps the brain “re-file” painful memories so triggers don’t feel so big
✘ Can be costly and hard to access
⭐ Structured Programs → 10/10
✔ Best when they bring together both psychology (knowledge, tools, self-insight) AND body work (nervous system calming, emotional healing)
✔ Combines the mind + body, which is where true betrayal healing happens
