🛑 A horse in the Enterprise area was confirmed to be rabies positive this week! 🛑

Rabies is a virus that infects brain tissue and is absolutely fatal! It is spread through saliva (typically bite wounds) and is transmissible between mammals, including humans!

Alabama state law requires current rabies vaccination for all dogs and cats over 12 weeks of age. If your dog or cat is not currently up to date on rabies vaccination, please schedule an appointment to get them protected!

We are excited to announce that Enterprise Animal Hospital now has an injection available for dogs which provides 12 months of protection against fleas and ticks: BRAVECTO QUANTUM!! 💉🐕

Enterprise Animal Hospital has been fortunate enough to have had Dr. Bryan Bain working with us part-time for several years. Dr. Bain’s immense love for both people and animals alike make him a truly incredible veterinarian and human. On Thursday, January 30th, 2025, after over 50 years of practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Bain officially hung up his stethoscope and entered into retirement. 🩺

Thank you for all the wonderful care, Dr. Bain! We wish you all the best and hope you enjoy your well deserved retirement! ❤️
