Today at Assisted Living on Jensen, we came together to honor the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. 🇺🇸
Our residents enjoyed a wonderful Memorial Day BBQ lunch, followed by a heartfelt performance from one of our very own residents singing in tribute to our veterans and fallen heroes. We were also proud to officially hang our new American flag out front as a symbol of gratitude, remembrance, and patriotism.
Thank you to all who have served and to those who gave everything for our freedom. ❤️🤍💙

Our Mother's Day BBQ might have been threatened by rain, but it couldn't dampen the spirits of our amazing community here at Assisted Living On Jensen! We reveled in the joy of celebrating all the incredible Mamas among us, thanks to the uplifting live music from our dear friend Roger, Mary's signature margaritas, and a delectable BBQ that shone just as brightly indoors. Hosting events that honor our residents and their loved ones fills our hearts with gratitude, and we're already looking forward to our Father's Day Bluegrass BBQ - stay tuned!

As we approach Memorial Day, we are reminded of the deep meaning behind the American flag and the sacrifices it represents. 🇺🇸

When a flag becomes worn or tattered, it is not simply replaced—it is respectfully retired. The folding of the flag is a time-honored tradition, carried out with care, dignity, and gratitude for all it stands for.

Today, we were truly honored to have two of our own residents, both veterans, lead this meaningful process for us. With steady hands and full hearts, they carefully folded our flag and prepared it to be retired with the respect it deserves, before we raise a new one in its place.

Moments like these remind us that the history, sacrifice, and pride behind our flag live on through the individuals who have served our country. We are incredibly grateful to witness and share in this experience.

Thank you to these gentlemen and our past and present resident Veterans for your service, your leadership, and for allowing us to be part of such a powerful tradition. ❤️
