After caring for back and neck problems in Northeast Ohio for over 20 years, I am now honored to serve as the President of the Western Orthopaedic Foundation, the charitable arm of the Western Orthopaedic Association. I now serve as President of the Western Orthopaedic Foundation, the 501 (c) 3 Foundation for the Western Orthopaedic Association. My efforts these days focus on grant writing and fund-raising for the oldest Regional Orthopaedic Association in the country, serving over 900 surgeons in the 14 Western States. I provide expert opinions on diagnostic and clinical care for selected legal cases, involving patients with all kinds of back and neck problems: disc degeneration and herniation, spinal stenosis and nerve compression, compression fractures, and deformities, degeneration, or instability of the adult spine. Having served as an investigator for several FDA surgical device trials, I am able to call on the most extensive experience in artificial disc replacement for both lumbar spine and cervical spine disorders, and I am honored to be recognized internationally as an expert in the treatment of scoliosis and spinal deformity, fractures and spine trauma, and tumors and infections of the spinal column. I have served as a teacher of both neurosurgical and orthopedic spine specialists, as an instructor in innovative surgical techniques, and as an author of both scientific research and instructional courses. I have always taken pride in trying to provide compassionate, personal care to every patient I treat. My best results always came from taking time to listen, and to plan the best care possible with patient input and wishes first and foremost in mind.
