YESSSSS . . . There is life re-emerging at Urban Sanctuary! and WOW! I am not only resuming the HUGE FABRIC SALE that I began back on June 20th, but as I've had to cull through 3 estates, I have added YARN and SCRAPBOOKING SUPPLIES! The place is PACKED!!! (So, don't be surprised when it doesn't look much like a Sanctuary!)

Life has thrown some major curve balls my direction, not the least of which was the passing of our dear father on June 26th. For now, the door to the Sanctuary will be open a bit more often, as the settling of the estate(s) seems to be winding down. I will do my best to adhere to the dates "I" plan to facilitate this sale, but if something more urgent comes my way, there will be a note on my door, if I have to leave unannounced. You may certainly call first to see if/when I'm there.

If you'd like to schedule an individual appointment to come browse, I welcome that, and will do my best to honor that, also.

If you are reading this on Halloween Day, I will be here from 11am - 7pm.
It is my intent to also be open:
TUES-THURS - - - NOV 5th-7th - - - from 11am-7pm Daily
& if need be,
TUES-THURS - - - NOV 12th-14th - - - from 11am-7pm Daily

If you see the light on in the Sanctuary, please knock on the door, if it is not readily open, and come in for a chat! I've got lots of work piled up from such an absence, that I will be attending to, as I am able, but would likely welcome the break!

If you know a person who loves to sew, quilt, make dolls/dollclothes, knit, crochet, felt, rug hook, scrapbook, make personalized greeting cards, or any number of creative activities using fabric, yarn or scrapbooking supplies, please have them contact me!

I urge those of you who feel you don't need any more of such things, to consider the upcoming generations and teaching them your art form! Many of our youth are hungry to learn, but not all can afford classes - mentoring them with such vital life skills would be an invaluable contribution to our community.

I've missed so many of you, and have treasured those who have reached out with condolences and hopes to see me again
~ I hope to see each of you, very soon!. I can usually be reached via my phone # (voice or text) -or- email -or- website email.

On another note, it is my intent to offer a "Giving Thanks" Labyrinth Walk and SoundBath, and perhaps YogaFaith w/Laurie from Firmly Planted Wellness and YogaFaith the weekend of 11/15-17, and/or Thursday, 11/21 - one week before Thanksgiving. Please contact me if any of these any of these dates work for you! Times yet TBD, based on feedback. More on that to follow. . .

Finally, along with all the community Halloween activities, let us not forget the sacredness of this time . . . remembrance of those dearly departed friends and relatives who have impacted our lives. For centuries, we have recalled the saints and souls who have gone before us and we pray that they may find eternal Peace in their final resting place.

I'm so sorry to have to do this, but the Fabric sale scheduled for this weekend (6/22-23) has been canceled due to an unexpected medical emergency in our family. I will be spending the weekend at the hospital.

I will be rescheduling just as soon as possible; the fabric still needs to go, so please look forward to future posts.

Prayers for our family will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.🙏😞

After we prayed for Peace, Harmony, and Unity, we had some fun making personalized Bath Salts and Blessing Sticks!

This little angel knew exactly what she wanted in her bath salts and prepared it and bottled it herself! …she’s only four years old! So anyone can create a relaxing bathing experience at home using all natural products from the earth!

And, Greg, who loves our Bath Salts, was excited to learn that he could make his own blend! In fact, he made two different blends based on what he would like to experience. One was for a more calming experience, so that included Lavender and Chamomile. The other one he wanted to help his respiratory system, so included Rosemary and Eucalyptus. He added essential oils of tea tree and lavender to deepen the experience.

If only you could smell this bowl of beautiful, healing, botanical bath salts!!! It was amazing. Good job.

You can call to make an appointment to do this at your convenience. I have an apothecary cabinet that I keep filled with the supplies.

We also have premade salts available for sale. We will be doing this again next weekend if you would like to join us from noon to two. Just in time for some Mother’s Day gifting, whether it be for yourself or loved one.

Cost is $20 for the two of the vials or one of the 12 ounce jars.

Each comes with a teabag that you can place the salts into and put into the tub or hang off of your faucet to dissolve the salts into your bath. You will not have the mess of botanicals to clean up after your relaxing bath. You can also make a tea ahead of time straining out the botanicals and pouring into your bath water.

Oh my goodness!!! My heart is still
soooo full of gratitude from yesterday’s gathering of creative souls!

It started out as a Prayer Bead making class…OK
How about adding a Potluck? OK! How about a baked Potato bar? OK! What else could we bring that starts with “P”? Potato toppings like bacon become Pork, fruit becomes Picked fruit, but then there’s Pickles, Peanut butter cups, Popcorn, Potato chips, Plantain chips, Pomegranate cocktails, Prosecco, Portuguese wine, …the list goes on… It was so much fun and yes, we did make prayer beads! They were incredibly inspirational, as each one shared what the beads meant to her.

We were also gifted with an unexpected Phenomenal sound healing Presentation, (two more “P”s) by the beautiful Aimee, from Indivara Sound and Healing Arts. What a remarkable treat for us!

We will be looking forward to future collaboration, so stay tuned.
