The Power of Knowledge
Nursing is a rewarding and challenging profession so it’s critical you have access to authentic support systems and tools. Prioritize your self-care by engaging in healthy activities that target both your body and mind. These resources from ANA offer several options to help you overcome the stressors of nursing:

Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation
Consider joining Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation™, a program designed to help you maximize your health in six areas: physical activity, nutrition, rest, quality of life, safety, and mental health. Once you join the program, you can take the Healthy Nurse Survey assessment to evaluate your current health status, access information, insights, inspiring blogs, and join monthly 10-day challenges focused on supporting micro-behavior. https://www.healthynursehealthynation.org/

Nurse Well-Being: Building Peer & Leadership Support Program
Another resource, the Nurse Well-Being: Building Peer and Leadership Support Program, was developed by nurses using the Stress First Aid (SFA) Model, a framework to improve recovery from stress reactions. The program provides access to real-timenresources and tools to help nurses understand the science behind what they are experiencing, and how to manage moments of extraordinary stress.

Happy National Nurses Week!

This year, American Nurses Enterprise is illuminating The Power of Nurses by lighting up landmarks, healthcare hubs, and monuments across the country in honor of National Nurses Week. This campaign is designed to shine a light on the profession, honor nurses, and ignite recognition and gratitude among the general public in support of nurses.

You can see which locations near you are participating in this exciting event by checking the ANA website, here: https://www.nursingworld.org/ana-enterprise/nurses-week/

Thank you to all the incredible nurses with whom we have the pleasure of working for all your hard work and care that you put in to your practice every day! Paceline wouldn’t be the same without you! 💖 👩🏻‍⚕️👨🏻‍⚕️🧑🏻‍⚕️🎉

🤔 Did you know? 🤔

March was designated as National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month in February 2000 to raise the profile of this disease and encourage screening. Since then, it has grown to be a rallying point for the colorectal cancer community where thousands of patients, survivors, caregivers, and advocates join to spread colorectal cancer awareness.

With March nearly over, we want to emphasize that the first symptoms of colorectal cancer are NO symptoms. The best way to prevent colorectal cancer is getting screened on time.

Screenings can also find cancer early when treatment is most effective. Most people should begin colorectal cancer screenings at age 45, but people with certain risk factors may need to start screening earlier.

Thank you again to all the providers who work in GI care for your dedication and commitment to this important cause. Together, we will continue to spread the word and inspire others to prioritize their health!

‼️ Early Detection Saves Lives ‼️

Per the American College of Gastroenterology: “In the United States, colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common cancer in both men and women, yet it is one of the most preventable types of cancer.”

There are an estimated 150,000+ NEW cases of CRC cases expected this year, and it is estimated that 50,000+ people will die from CRC this year, alone.

That’s why it’s so crucial to highlight the importance of early screening! Earlier guidelines that used to recommend screening beginning at age 50 for most people and age 45 for African Americans only. Now “45 is the new 50” to start screening for everyone at average risk for colorectal cancer.

🌟 A Huge Thank You for Your Dedication! 🌟

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who worked so hard this past Saturday to help increase the number of screening colonoscopies at Eastside Endoscopy Center Washington Gastroenterology. Your time and effort are making a real difference in the fight against colorectal cancer.

By working together, we’re not only raising awareness but also encouraging more people to get checked starting at age 45. Every step we take brings us closer to a future where early detection saves lives.

Thank you for your dedication and commitment to this important cause. Let’s continue to spread the word and inspire others to prioritize their health!

Exceptional Teams, Exceptional Care

Across all fields of medicine, there are incredible practitioners that make our lives better in the amazing care that they provide day in and day out, but there is something truly special about our CRNAs! Please help us in celebrating your colleagues today on “Fellows Friday!”

We are blessed to have the opportunity to work with some of the best CRNA providers in the state of Washington! Each of our CRNAs puts in their best effort day after day and provides exceptional care to each patient that walks into the ASCs we serve.

Thank you all for the amazing dedication and perseverance that you demonstrate in showing up each day to provide the best in anesthesia care! We don’t know what we’d do without you and we’re so grateful to be on this journey together!

Innovations Through the Years

Our understanding of the human body is always expanding, meaning that modern medicine is always growing, adapting and changing to suit the needs of our patients and to keep up with discoveries made over the years. And while some practices may be phased out with time, without those initial breakthroughs, we’d be unable to make any further progress! This brings us to today’s theme “Throwback Thursday!”

What is something that was cutting-edge or innovative when you first started your CRNA journey? Is that practice still actively in use? Did it lead to something new? Please share a photo or memory with us to celebrate!

The “Why” Behind Your Leadership and Care

It takes someone truly exceptional to choose the life of a CRNA! It’s difficult but rewarding work and it makes the lives of those receiving surgical care that much better! No matter why you made the choice to work in this field, we’re grateful for you being here! However, we also find that sharing our “whys” can help to inspire the next generation of healthcare workers. So, on “Why Wednesday” we’re posing the question:

Why did you choose to become a CRNA?

Practice Makes Exceptional

Today’s exercise in gratitude for our CRNAs comes in the form of “Tips and Tricks Tuesday!”

All our CRNAs utilize the best practices in providing amazing care to the patients that they see, but the world of medicine is always growing, changing and improving! There is always something new to learn and maintaining a growth mindset is important in any industry, but it’s especially important in healthcare!

Please share a tip, trick, or method you use to deliver exceptional care or lead with innovation in your practice. Together we can grow as providers and continue to provide the best possible care!

Happy CRNA Week!

Each year, we dedicate this week in January to celebrate the amazing CRNAs that we are blessed to work with every day! Today’s exercise in gratitude comes in the form of “Mentor Monday!”

While we are continually inspired by each of our CRNAs, there are countless individuals that have helped each of them get to where they are today that we don’t often get to highlight. Today we’re holding a moment to celebrate our mentors.

Please share a story about an innovative leader who has helped to inspire you in your journey to becoming a CRNA!
