It was our Easter Bunny party today....hippity hoppity for the day! There was an egg hunt earlier in the day and then party time. We found out who is the most like the Easter Bunny and had homemade cupcakes and peanut butter eggs along with some more games. Everyone had good time and Donna did a great job leading the party!

We just shared a Seder plate to recognize Passover and the Jewish people's exile out of Egypt and slavery. Moses said, "let my people go!" Gretchen had a Jewish boss and Co worker in NYC and was invited to her home for a Seder meal. It is a special memory Gretchen likes to share with the residents here at The Groves! We tried ground lamb, a matzah ball and wafer, and a mixture of chopped apples, walnuts, and honey. Everyone said they enjoyed it. Nothing wrong with trying something different!

Fancy a game of Scrabble? While the photoshoot was going on, Christine led a game of Scrabble while Kelly was cooking in the kitchen prepping for lunch. Lori was training a new person to the house and we are looking forward to her being there! Just a day in the life at The Groves!

We went around the globe today and went to Poland! Perogies please! We sampled a couple potato snacks with the dill pickle favor being the favorite. It balanced out with just enough sweets like gingerbread and lemon filled butter cookies which were the best in the sweet area! The peanut butter chocolate bar was the 2nd runner up! Next month the sky's the limit! And, we will find out where we head to next!

May the luck of the Irish be with you! We did a little, "Erin go bragh" today at our party! Gretchen started it off with an Irish Blessing. We found out," Who Might Be Irish" and we read through the alphabet about Ireland and St Patrick. We always have a guessing game and fun party favors of shamrock boppers and hand clappers. For food, Donna made Watergate Salad and there were St Patrick's Day cookies to take along after a good round of full card bingo! We had a good time and everything was green!

Just a regular morning playing UNO! UNO and bingo are our top 2 favorite games to play. We have others to play like Go Fish, Old Maid, or Pokeno. Bingo is a favorite for another reason also...snack prizes! It's a great time to win a couple of snacks. Sometimes we have beauty products like soap, shampoo, and toothpaste as prizes also. We call that "Beauty Bingo."

Calling all world travelers or just the adventurous side! We took our monthly global trip today to Brazil! Where it's rude to say no to coffee and rude to be on time for gatherings! We delved into pizza and sour cream flavored savory snacks but hands down, the lime flavored, creamy center butter cookies, strawberry cheesecake flavored cookies, and a small chocolate cake stole the show! Gretchen shared her experiences trying a Brazilian Steakhouse which have gained popularity in the States! It's definitely worth trying and be prepared to bring an appetite!
