It's that wonderful time of the year again! 🍁
Raking leaves seems harmless, but it engages multiple muscle groups in the back, shoulders, and core. Often people are doing this for long periods of time without taking any breaks. The most common causes of back strain include:
REPETITIVE MOTION:
The same twisting and pulling movements affect the body fatigue muscles quickly.
IMPROPER MOTION:
Hunching or bending over at the waist places strain on spinal joints and discs.
OVERREACHING:
Extending the arms and twisting simultaneously stresses the lower back and neck.
HEAVY LOADS:

2. LIFT WITH YOUR LEGS NOT YOUR BACK
If you’re lifting heavy decorations, pumpkins, or bags of candy, always lift with your legs rather than your back. Keep your back straight, bend your knees, and engage your leg muscles to lift the weight. This will prevent strain on your spine and lower back. πŸ‹πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

3. DISTRIBUTE WEIGHT EVENLY
