June is National Dysphagia Awareness month!

Food for thought.....symptoms of swallowing disorders are often overlooked, and can lead to choking and serious health complications such as weight loss and pneumonia. Consult with your doctor and a Speech-Language Pathologist if you are experiencing difficulty swallowing food, pills, liquids and even your own saliva!
