🌻Solace Counseling is so excited to offer our next group series, once again at no cost to Erie residents thanks to our partnership with and our H.E.A.L. grant! Our master’s level Clinical Art Therapy Interns will be leading this group later this summer. Read more below, register by 7/1!

🌻Starting school—or going back after a break—can bring up big feelings. This 4-week group is designed to help children ages 4-8 build resilience and coping skills around tough transitions. Through imaginative play, group connection, and creative art-making, kids will learn to externalize and transform their fears—like making their own “worry monsters”—to make those feelings feel more manageable. Each session also offers a chance to gently practice separating from caregivers, helping kids gain confidence in joining school or activities. Guardians are invited to attend the full first session and the first half of the second.

Solace was so proud to be a part of Erie Pride. We saw so many faces and were able to be with our community and celebrate what makes us all uniquely us!

Last Friday Solace hosted a workshop led by one of our clinicians, Jammie! She spoke to caregivers of preschool aged children about co-regulation skills and attunement. We are so thankful for Jammie and her years of expertise in the subject and for all the grownups who joined us to give their families the best shot at emotional stability!

We are coming up with new groups all the time and will announce anything coming up here on Instagram! Stay tuned!

Meet Lily, the latest addition to the Solace team! Another art Therapist Clinical Intern to teach us about this exciting therapeutic service! Like Anna, you don't have to include it in your sessions with Lily but it could be a great option for all people looking to unlock new parts of their brain.

We are proud to introduce you to one of our interns! Part of becoming a therapist is many years of learning, practicing under supervision, and passing large exams. Anna is embarking on a very important leg of that journey at Solace Counseling!

Anna is an Art Therapist and can (but it isn't required to) use art in session as a way to process feelings and access new parts of your brain. Art therapy can be for kids and adults! We are excited to dive into the world of art therapy with Anna!

Prenatal yoga with Jammie has been going amazingly!! She has been able to guide 7 parents-to-be through all stages of pregnancy through building community and movement.

This is just one way that Solace has been utilizing the HEAL Grant to reach the Erie community by offering this series free to Erie residents!

Thank you to for the use of their space and to Jammie for her experience and love for the project! There are so many more community groups to come!
