Construction has begun on the new EC3 Allied Health and Nursing Labs project, which aims to provide students with practical healthcare training.

This initiative is part of a collaboration between local hospitals, including AHN Saint Vincent, to address the shortage of professionals entering allied health fields.

The program will help participants to upskill or enter the workforce, making it an attractive and attainable option for unemployed or underemployed individuals.

Are you a pickleball fan? Dr. James Sferra is an AHN orthopaedic specialist who loves to play, but has noticed an increase in pickleball-related injuries on the court and in orthopaedic offices across AHN.

Tennis elbow, Achilles tendon ruptures, sprained ankles and broken wrists are some of the more common injuries AHN orthopaedic specialists are treating in pickleball players.

Dr. Sferra stressed the importance of having injuries assessed quickly and provided this information to help you decide where to go for orthopaedic injury care.
