Dr. E. Matthew Zimm, a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist, is the Region's first fellowship-trained laser vision correction surgeon. This means that Dr. Zimm spent an entire year after his residency training intensively in laser vision correction procedures as well as advanced cataract surgical procedures. Dr. Zimm performs bladeless LASIK, traditional and custom LASIK, advanced surface ablation (LASEK), cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, and the management of all medical eye diseases.
Dr. Zimm grew up in Erie, PA. He attended both Cathedral Preparatory School and Gannon University, graduating at the top of his class at both schools. He then performed his medical school training at LECOM, where he graduated in the top 5% of his class. Dr. Zimm did a one-year transitional internship at Millcreek Community Hospital and then performed a three year surgical and medical ophthalmology residency through Michigan State University. This was followed by an intensive one-year fellowship in laser vision correction surgery and advanced cataract surgery through Michigan State University. Dr. Zimm is board certified in ophthalmology by the American Osteopathic College of Opthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
In May of 2013, Dr. E. Matthew Zimm was the first Doctor in Northwest Pennsylvania to perform bladeless cataract surgery. He continues to perform this procedure in his private practice located in Erie Pennsylvania.
Dr. Jessica Goller is an Optometrist who specializes in primary vision care, problem-focused eye examinations, urgent eye care, and pre- and post-operative care.
Dr. Goller grew up in Johnstown, PA, and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University in 2005. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry Degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park, PA in 2009.
Dr. Goller completed several externships, including:

-Clarksburg Veteran Affairs Optometry Clinic in Clarksburg, WV
-The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, PA
- Martinelli Eye Associates in Charleroi, PA
She has been in private practice for 9 years and is licensed for the practice of Optometry by the State Examining Boards of Pennsylvania. Additionally, she has achieved her Therapeutics and Glaucoma Licenses.
