Michelle Curtze, MA LPC

Michelle Curtze, MA LPC I am dedicated to working with individuals with a variety of anxiety disorders, eating disorders, impulse-control disorders and depression.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 20 years of experience. I am a highly energetic, enthusiastic individual with a zest for life. I believe in the endless possibilities and potential of every human being. My favorite quote is from Ralph Waldo Emerson, who wrote: Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm! I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Edinboro University. In addition, I did post- graduate training in Community Counseling. At the beginning of my career I was employed by the Sarah A. Reed Children’s Center. For the past 14 years I have been focused on my private practice. I have received extensive training by experts in anxiety disorders and by the Anxiety Disorders Association of America. I have been trained to work with a variety of anxiety disorders including, but not limited to, OCD and OCD Spectrum Disorders, Health Anxiety, Specific Phobias, Selective Mutism, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder. Each client’s therapy is tailored to meet their individual needs. I employ Exposure/Response Prevention Therapy, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Techniques to treat anxiety disorders. I use a team based approach to work with individuals with eating disorders. I approach an eating disorder as an obsessive compulsive spectrum disorder and work with psychiatrists, registered dieticians and primary care practitioners to assist the individual to overcome their difficulties. My Clientele

Currently, I work with adults, adolescents and families of children with a variety of mental health issues. Insurance Plans I accept

“Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” — Maya Angelou

January asked us to begin again. What’s one thing you learned about yourself this month?

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do… is nothing at all.
Just sit.
Breathe.
Be.

Even 10 or 15 minutes of stillness — where you let go of doing, striving, and fixing — can bring you back to your center. 🌬️💛

It’s in that quiet space, as your breath flows in and out, that Spirit can finally reach you. That’s where the guidance lives — not in the noise, but in the stillness.

Make space for the whispers. ✨

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
